| Welcome to Soorya Social Club(SSC). Soorya Social Club originated in 1997 with 14 Malayalee families who have settled in this town of High Wycombe. Since then it has now grown to the present strength of more than 40 Malayalee and Tamil families, who settled here from different parts of Southern India. The picturesqe town of High Wycombe with its wide-open countryside is located in the county of Buckinghamshire, 25 miles west of London.
Soorya Social Club is a non-profit, non-religious and non-political, cultural organsation. The club works with south Indian community in southeast of England to play a part in promoting the south Indian heritage and traditions by hosting and celebrating traditional festivites, cultural and sporting events and family get-togethers every year. SSC members contribute to all of these events showcasing their individual talents to enrich our programmes.
SSC aims to enhance the identity of south Indian states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in southeast of England, while strengthening commitment to the country of domicile, the United Kingdom.
